Medical Gas Equipment Maintenance

A medical gas system’s components are linked together by the medical pipeline network. Failure of a major component can cause the shut down of key areas of your facility. We offer practical and economical solutions to help ensure that your source equipment reliability remains at its highest potential. Regular servicing of your equipment will help to keep your medical gas systems in peak operating condition.

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

All facilities with an installed MGPS are required to have a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contract. This will specify the inspection work that is to be performed on a piece of equipment on a scheduled basis – usually every quarter. The schedule, based on best practices and manufacturers’ recommendations, is designed to keep your equipment operating smoothly. Our thorough service may identify needed repairs, which once completed, could prevent an unscheduled shutdown of your equipment. We offer this service at a flat rate that can be designed to fit your budget – per visit, bi-quarterly, quarterly or yearly. Properly maintained equipment is more reliable, will reduce downtime and will save you money in the long run.

Field Service

BeaconMedaes has a large field service force based throughout the UK. We have the capability to reach any mainland facility with the best response times. Our service specialists possess a vast knowledge of the industry and are able to work on all other manufacturer’s equipment. Easy installation and maintenance

Integral check valves in the Zeus and East SP Medical Gas Terminal Units allow removal of the housing and socket assemblies for maintenance without closing down the entire pipeline. The 2nd fix can be easily removed using the access holes in the front gas identification ring. This saves the need to strip down fascia panels to gain access, and enables quick and clean maintenance.

The SP Medical Gas Terminal Units are enclosed in a white ABS decorative mounting box with an ABS fascia. Both contain a machined brass construction first fix with seal plate, check valve and a brazed copper stub pipe of 12 mm. They are gas and vacuum indexed and contain an anti-swivel pin in a wall-mounted setup.

The Gem Shield terminal unit’s exceptional reliability is a testament to its unique pedigree. In terms of quality, reliability, and value, the Gem terminal unit is in a league of its own. Fully complying with BS EN ISO 91701:2008, the BeaconMedæs Gem Shield has a proven service record, and is available in a wide range of mounting options, connection types and orientations to suit installations in walls, bedhead trunking, headwalls and pendant systems. BeaconMedæs supplies a huge range of degreased medical grade copper tubing and fittings to both UK and export markets. Copper fittings are individually packed to maintain cleanliness and are degreased to ensure that less than 100 mg of hydrocarbons are present per square of component surface.

Continuous source of medical oxygen

Medical oxygen is an irreplaceable component for many basic medical procedures and treatments, and an invaluable supplement to many other treatments. It is one of the drugs medical facilities cannot be without.

Exceptional oxygen quality

Our systems typically consist of one or two independent oxygen generation lines, a bank of cylinders and a high pressure booster, offering a back-up supply in case an individual component fails.

Independent oxygen supply

A solution for these inconveniences is to produce oxygen on-site using the BeaconMedæs Medical Oxygen System. By producing your own oxygen, you don’t need to rely anymore on third parties for your oxygen supply. A key element of the system is our PSA OGP MED Generator which separates the oxygen from ambient air and allows the facility to have a stand-alone oxygen production capability right on the facility site. All main components such as the compressors, dryers, filters and PSA generator, are manufactured in-house.

The mVAC Medical Vacuum Systems consist of between two and six air-cooled, oil-lubricated rotary vane type vacuum pumps and a central controller with an intelligent graphical user interface. The pumps can work independently to satisfy the required vacuum flow.

The Medical Vacuum Systems are suitable for both continuous and frequent start/stop operation. They keep the vacuum level at the point of connection as low as or lower than -600 mbar(e) (-450 mm Hg) at all times. The mVAC system offers (multiple) backup supply in case of failure of individual functional components.

Our mVAC system offers flexible configuration possibilities in a tank, floor or frame-mounted set-up.
