The landscape format of this board makes it ideal for maximising use of available space in awkward locations such as on a wall below a window or on a long run of railings. Although nominally taking 3 sheets of A4 per bay, it will also accommodate some smaller notices in addition.

Perhaps not the most obvious choice in the range, this board will probably prove most useful to those searching for a long, low board to occupy a vertically constrained space such as on railings. Although nominally taking 3 sheets of A4 (portrait), each bay will also accommodate in addition, 3 x A5 notices. Alternatively by substituting a sign panel, map panel or encapsulated interpretation panel for the standard self-healing pinboard of the unglazed bay, it can be used to display both permanent information and more transient notices.

Like all other 2-bay, unglazed boards,  in its standard form with 2 pinboards, the PDNU is something  of a niche product;  it is far more likely to be seen with one or more bays containing a sign, map or information panel. In this guise it would make an ideal information/interpretation panel at locations such as parks, nature reserves etc. As with all our Man-made Timber boards, when comparing with timber-framed alternatives, the real advantage manifests itself in the form of much-reduced “whole-life” costs when the lack of ongoing maintenance is factored in.

When it first launched over 20 years ago, the PDN offered a radical alternative to what might be viewed as the archetypal timber-built village noticeboard. These days it has pretty much become the archetypal village noticeboard!
