Food Mixers
A food mixer is a piece of kitchen equipment which uses a set of beaters to mix and prepare food. Mixers work to remove the manual labour of whisking, stirring or beating by automating the process. Types of mixers include eggbeaters (which are handheld), handheld motorised beaters, or a stand mixer. Handheld mixers are suitable for small batches, while stand mixers are able to mix bulk amounts and are also used commercially. Types of stand mixers include planetary mixers (which mix vertically) and spiral mixers which rotate the mixing container. For very large scale mixing, the planetary mixer is used because they can handle hundreds of litres at the same time. Food mixers are used by bakeries, restaurants and pizzerias.
