Radiators and Radiator Valves
Radiator valves are used to control the temperature of radiators. Radiator valves can either control the amount of heated water entering the radiator or the amount leaving it. There are three main types of radiator valves, manual, thermostatic and Lockshield. Manual radiator valves work like a tap so it is turned to let more or less water through. Thermostatic radiator valves (TRV’s) regulate the temperature of the radiator to keep it at a set temperature, when the room reaches the appropriate temperature the valve closes to prevent the temperature increasing, these are more economical than manual valves. Lockshield valves work by controlling the amount of water leaving the radiator this ensures that the water circulates around the radiator distributing heat evenly. Radiator valves are either angled or straight, choosing the right one depends on the position of the radiator valve inlet. Radiator valves work with your radiator to control your heating system ensuring the perfect temperature in both domestic, industrial and business settings. A wide range of radiator valves, in different styles and colours, are available to suit a variety of applications.
