Sanding Tools
Sanding tools are used to smooth rough surfaces though abrasion with different types of sandpaper. In most sanding tools, the sandpaper is attached to a face-plate and the sander’s plate moves in a motion that enables the movement of the sander over a surface. Different types of sanding machines and tools produce different finishes, with a random-orbit sander moving in a circular movement to create a non-uniform finish. Sanders are used on a variety of surfaces to smooth round surfaces, to change the surface or remove paint. They are commonly used in the industry of woodworking, particularly furniture making.
