Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) Batteries
Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) batteries are rechargeable batteries that use and metallic cadmium and nickel oxide hydroxide as electrodes. Types of Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) batteries include Eneloop, regular alkaline, reusable alkaline and Lithium. Nickel Cadium (NiCd) batteries are available in a wide range of capacities and sizes, at one time they were the go-to battery for portable power tools, flashlights, photography equipment, emergency lighting, portable electronic devices and hobby R/C. However nowadays, Nicke Cadmiu, (NiCd) batteries are regulated by EU law and only available for replacement purposes, special types of new equipment and some medical devices. Larger Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) batteries are used in electric vehicles, aircraft starting batteries, and standby power.
