Eyebolts
An eyebolt is simply a bolt with a loop at one end which words by securing the bolt to a structure and having ropes or cables tied to it. There are many different types of eyebolts, from the big to the small, including machine screw threading and wood screw threading. Wood screw threading eyebolts exist in their simplest form, which is to put on the back of a painting to thread string through and hang. In the lifting industry, eyebolts are referred to as lifting eyes. Types that are available are DIN standard eye bolts, Collar BS4278 Standard Eyebolts, Long Shank, Dynamo type and Eyebolts with built-in Oval Links – each ranging with the lifting capacity of 95kg to 200 tonnes. Eyebolts are used in any industry that requires lifting and hoisting, including but not limited to construction, oil industry, freight industry, transport industry, as well as the manufacturing industry.
