Lashing Equipment
Lashings are the most common way to secure something in place, like when in transit by boat, road or air. When using lashings, the cargo that is being transported is forced downwards from the strap preventing goods from slipping and sliding. Lashing equipment includes both fixed and loose gear. This includes twistlocks, stacking cones, bridge fittings, flush and raised foundations sockets, dovetail fittings, lashing rods and turnbuckles. Lashing equipment is commonly used in the import and export business, particularly when goods are transported as cargo by sea and need to be secured against sliding.
