Thermal Ribbons

Thermal ribbon cartridges are used in several printers and these are particularly common in large enterprisers. Thermal ribbon cartridges are used extensively in printers which use thermal heat for melting the coated ribbon for creating impressions on a paper during the printing process. The thermal printing process is used in several printers such as label printers, line printers, barcode printers and other models of fax machines. Most printers used in manufacturing and enterprise level facilities use a thermal printer of one type or other as these are more economical than inkjet or laser printers for large volume printing. Thermal ribbons are an essential component of these printers and like other printer cartridges need to be replaced after on a regular basis. The yield of a thermal ribbon depending on the ribbon cartridge and type of printer can range anywhere from 15000 to 15 million prints.
