Environmental Sensors
Environmental sensors are essentially devices that detect, measure or record specific environmental factors in a particular setting. Examples include the measuring of air quality, but could also include barometric air pressure, air temperature and humidity. Environmental sensors can also be used in workplace and industrial health and safety to ensure that levels of gases and other substances are safe. This could be levels of chlorine in a swimming pool to a carbon monoxide detector. There are a vast array of environmental sensors available. Many can be integrated into systems to trigger locks or fans. Some environmental sensors will contain audible alarms or offer data logging capabilities. Environmental sensors can be used in an extensive range of domestic and industrial settings.
