Power Transducers
Power transducers, often referred to as AC power transducers, are devices that provide a controlled output that is proportional to the average RMS power that has been detected and sensed within a particular application. AC power transducers are efficient and suitable for use in most power sensing applications. The main types of power transducers are active power transducers and reactive power transducers. Within these two broad categories, a variety of different configurations are available. These include single phase and multiple phase models, and various combinations in terms of the number of elements and wires. Power transducers can be used in a variety of environments and settings. However, they are primarily designed for operating systems that feature current waveforms and sinusoidal voltage.
