Assembly
Assembly is the process of putting together a finished product from supplied parts. This can be done as part of a vertical process within a manufacturing process or outsourced to a third-party assembly crew as part of a final process. Assembly can include full assembly of all parts into a finished product, a total quality inspection of both parts and product and on-demand assembly as when it’s needed. Assembly can be done as part of a machine process or by hand – depending on volume and time. Assembly is used by those who manufacture raw parts but lack the skill or facilities to assemble into a finished product. This includes those in the field engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, automotive, material handling, mining and Petroleum, and pharmaceuticals.
