A long established engineering company, at Heap Dawson Ltd we specialise in the design and manufacture of industrial heat exchangers and associated equipment.
Our customers are generally manufacturers and consumers of drying machines and ovens for the plastics, rubber, paper, textiles and food processing industries. We cater for many other applications as well.
Extended Surface and Plain Tube Heat Exchangers
All designed and manufactured to meet customers’ specific requirements, our variety of industrial heat exchangers are constructed from carbon steels with a hot dip galvanised option available after manufacture.
Hydraulically tested prior to dispatch, our extended surface and plain tube heat exchangers are specifically suited to:

- Cooling
- Air Conditioning
- Industrial Drying Applications
Spirally Tension Wound Finned Tube
We manufacture an extensive range of spirally tension wound carbon steel and stainless steel extended surface finned tube appropriate for industrial and commercial heating/cooling applications.
The finned tube can be provided with plain ends ready for welding or alternatively screwed or flanged ends can be fabricated to become applicable for many varieties of application.
Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers
We specialise in the design and manufacture of shell and tube heat exchangers and provide an extensive technical advice and design service for its product range.
The photograph displayed on the right shows a fixed tubeplate shell and tube heat exchanger manufactured with a grade 316L stainless steel tube bundle and domed boxes with a carbon steel outer shell.
Boiler Economisers
Heap Economiser Ltd is our subsidiary company specialising in the design of heat recovery systems and boiler economisers.
The boiler economisers are designed to increase the feedwater temperature and ultimately improve efficiency resulting in direct fuel savings. Economisers can be provided fully with transformation sections and integral by-pass and damper assemblies to suit individual site installations.
