Prototyping
Prototyping is the process of creating an early sample or model of a product. The purpose of a prototype is to evaluate a design and to enhance precision by system analysts and users before production. Types of prototyping including 3d prototypes (like clay models), paper prototypes (where the prototype is hand-drawn or printed) and user experience prototypes which are fully functioning products which can be tested by users. Prototypes (often known as models) can be built to any size, including to exact scale. Various manufacturing industries use prototypes including the following industries; automotive, aerospace, information technology, military and the consumer goods industry.
